Lykke Li - Get Some

Stockholm, Sweden. This year 2010 Lykke Li released the single "Get Some". I don't know why, but I missed it. However, Beck made a remix and so, I'm back in the game. Here I give to you the original and the Beck remix. Pherhaps you remember my post in August. It says everything what I'm thinking and loving about Lykke Li. Probably in 2008 "Youth Novel" was one of the best album of the year. And of course it is still one of the best album I've ever heard.

Cut Copy - Take Me Over (Thee Loving Hands Remix)

Melbourne, VIC, Australia. Oh, I'm a little bit excited for the new year. The will be nice album releases, I'm pretty sure. One of them could be "Zonoscope" by Cut Copy. Once in July I'd talked about loving or hating their songs. But know I'm sure - after I bought the second album and listened to it very often - I loving them very very much. And I'm looking forward to the new one. It will be released on 8th February 2011. Now, you get here a 10 minutes remix of Take me over, which is created by second album "In Ghost Colours" producer Tim Goldsworthy.

Bright Eyes - Shell Games

Omaha, Nebraska, USA. The band Bright Eyes is coming back with their fourth LP "The People's Key". Because of this fact, they give away the first single "Shell Games". Here you can listen to it below. I think, this will be a gorgeous album, which will be released on 15th February 2011.

Gorillaz - The Fall

UK. Where are the supporters of Gorillaz? Hands up, please! For you Christmas isn't still over yet. The Animation-Band gives to you a whole album for free. Isn't this great? So, the only thing you have to do, is to sign in the Gorillaz Fanclub. And if you are a fan, this shouldn't be a big deal. 15 tracks for free. Think about it. But to take away your doubt, you can pre-listening to it right here.

Estelle & John Legend - Sing & Flow (FreEP)

London, UK. Here is a awesome FREE EP by Estelle & John Legend. Normally I wouldn't post any R&B music. But, I said that once to Hip Hop, Rap and I did it, too. I think, however, everbody should be open-minded to other genres. Though, it's - like Bob Ross always said - up to you. And while I'm written here and listen to the EP, I also assess kind of Reagge tunes on it. It's still a great EP. And, don't forget: FreEP. But now, form your own opinion.

Gorillaz - Crystalized (The XX Cover)

UK. A week ago I posted Gorillaz's Doncamatic remixed by Joke. Now, recently, I listen to the track Crystalized covered by Gorillaz at FM4. This song was recorded in the BBC1 Live Lounge. It's a really nice track. By the way, like the title says, the original was created by the great great group The XX. I like them very much and I can only highly recommend The XX. Maybe you missed the august blog, where I posted two remixes of The XX tracks. Check their out here!

Mc Gi - Abelha (Daniel Klauser Remix)

Santos, Brazil. You like Bonde de Role or M.I.A.? Well, than you might like Giovanna Avino aka MC Gi, too. Here is a freaky funky remix of Abelha by Daniel Klauser. Lately, I've chumped up with this Brazil sound and I think I like it. Maybe you too. Check it out.

The Glass - Four Floor Letter (Black Van Remix)

Berlin, Germany & New York City, USA. You think maybe why does the Duke mention two cities? Well, simply because Dominique Keegan runs in New York the label Planet Music and the second The Glass Member Glen 'DJ Wool' Brady lives in Berlin where he also runs a label called We Collect Enemies. On 16th November The Glass released the album 'At Swim two Birds' in the USA. And I thought you should notice it. Listen to the whole album here.

Gorillaz - Doncamatic ft. Daley (Joker Remix)

UK. Gorillaz release today the new single Doncamatic. And here is a remix of Joker which I like more than the original. There is also a video out where you can see Daley in a mini-submarine. You can watch it on the myspace-site of Gorillaz. But now listen to the awesome Joker Remix.

The Shoes - Stay The Same

Reims, France. In actual fact, I don't know what I should write about the French Electronic Dance Duo. Apart from, what a chillin', awesome, great, amazing sound they're making. Well, I'm anxious for the album which is coming out next year.

Arms - Heat & Hot Water (Passion Pit Remix)

Brooklyn, New York, USA. First of all, I wasn't sure, if I should announce this track to you. Because it has only a quality of 192 kbps. But ex post, I'm aware of this foolish mistake. For your MP3-Player it makes no big different. And this song is amazing as well as the original. Passion Pit have made a good job.
Arms was founded by Todd Goldstein in 2004. Until 2009 it had been a single project. Now, Todd plays together with Matty and Tlacael. Sad, beautiful, echo-y music that sounds like everything they've loved, blown apart and then put back together piece by piece.

The Count & Sinden - After Dark (ft. Mystery Jets) - Video

London, UK. This track is amazing! When I listened to it the first time in the radio (of course FM4, the best radio channel ever!), I was a little bit flashed by this sound. And I thought: AWESOME! Now, I recognized the album Mega Mega Mega. On it, there are more loony crazy tracks like Hardcore Girl. You should check it out!

Crystal Castles - Not In Love (feat. Robert Smith)

Toronto, Canada. Again! You remember? One month ago? Crimewave? Yes! Here are Crystal Castles again. This track, which I serve you now, was released with the second album Crystal Casltes (II) on 21th May of this year. But this download is different to the album version. Robert Smith, founder & singer of The Cure, gives his voices away. And, the song rocks absolutely!

The Temper Trap - Conditions Remixed

Melbourne, Australia. Well, shame on me. You think why? Thus, I simply didn't recommend this band to you. But now, I recommend The Temper Trap warmly to you. Especially, you should think about the gorgeous album Conditions with beautiful tracks like Love Lost or Sweet Disposition (download 192 kbps). My personal favourite is Soldier On. Now, they released a remixed version of this gigantic album on 29th Oktober. For example, Alan Wilkis remixed Sweet Disposition (download rmx version 320 kbps). But there are also interprets like Peter, Bjorn & John and Fool's Gold. You can hear now the whole Conditions Remixed album here at soundcloud. Before I finish thanks to DailyBeatz.com for the nice hints to the downloads.  Only one thing I have to say: I've loved The Temper Trap since I've listened to them the first time. And I think maybe you will feel like the same. No, I'm sure.

Concert Review: Bomb The Bass, 30.10.2010 @ Landhotel St. Florian

St. Florian near by Schärding, Austria. Somewhere 9,3 miles behind Passau, more than a week ago, kuprosauwald.org celebrated their birthday. Happy belated birthday! And they organized a mammoth head liner called Bomb The Bass from UK. It was a bombastic performance and accompanied with a cool video show. At least until the video projector not to be in the mood of working anymore. But BTB still worked perfectly and bedazzled the whole crowd. Valesta from Austria supported them and made a great gig. The winner of the young austrain music award 2009 kicked off with a chillin' sound and passed over to rocking that Birthday Party. Through they played their hit "Best Friend" (click here for video). Below you can see some pictures of this gorgeous concert.

Dortmund, Germany. It's about one and a half months until Christmas. But Konstantin Gropper - a German singer and head of musicproject Get Well Soon - gives this fair and beautiful Live-EP away. Together with Le Grand Ensemble they played at the Konzerthaus Dortmund a gorgeus gig in context of the concert series Pop-Abo. These 15 musicians with wind sections and strings made a great sound. The tracks are melancholic and are about death, life and hope. Enjoy this great EP.

Simian Mobile Disco

Simian Mobile Disco - NERVE SALAD 320 kbps
Electro, Psychedelic

London, UK. Ok, Nerve Salad! Here it comes! It sounds like a Nerve Salad. And that's the reason why I give you this link after listening to the track twenty or thirty times. Well, but now I wouldn't keep this (amazing or nasty?) track - that's now your decision - no langer back from you. A lot of fun with it!

Scanner, Daft Punk

Scanner - BABY BLUE (THE CHAOTIC GOOD REMIX) 320 kbps
Electro, House

United States of America. It's hard to get any information about The Chaotic Good. I only can tell you that the group won the Heineken Remix Contest and they are from Lexington. But if you like the tune, you should check out their Soundcloud page. There are some other lovely tracks and a great mixtape.

Soundtrack, Electro

Athens, Greece. Here you can expierence how you make a 20 second sampler to a four minute track. And it sounds, believe it or not, fantastic. By the way, this isn't only any sampler. This is the "Tron"-soundtrack by Daft Punk.

Robyn

Stockholm, Sweden. I like Robyn since I've heard "Konichiwa Bitches". The Swedish founded her own record label "Konichiwa Records" in 2005, after signed the record label "Jive" off. This year she wants to release three albums. In June she did the first step with "Body Talk Pt. 1" and recently in September she did the next step with "Body Talk Pt. 2". This track here, called "None Of Dem" is out of "Body Talk Pt. 1", is remixed by Timid Tiger. The quintette from Cologne, Germany, made a wonderful danceable remix. I like the beats! Do you want here some other tracks. Take the EP below. By the way, on the homepage of Robyn you can listen to all hear records included to the brand new album "Body Talk Pt. 2". You should do it.

Soko - I'll Kill Her

Bordeaux, France. It seems there is a little stagnation. So, I want to show you this video above. About three years ago Stéphanie Sokolinski aka Soko created this beautiful sad song "I'll kill her". At that time I've already loved this track. But then time was running away and I forgot about it. Yesterday, however, I was listening to the radio and suddenly this song appeared. If you like it and you'd like to buy it, then I have to disappoint you. There is no record out there. Soko can't finish her records yet, because she has not enough money. Status: Two years ago. I hope she finds a way. In the meantime you can watch other videos here. By the way, Soko has stayed in Los Angeles since 2008. But she comes from Bordeaux and that's the reason why she has such a beautiful accent.

Emay

Emay - IF YOU'RE BREATHING 320 kbps
Hip Hop

Toronto, Canada. Normaly I wouldn't post something about Hip Hop. But I have a soft spot for piano samples or rather generally Hip Hop songs with piano like Jay-Z ft. Alicia Keys. So, check out this wonderful track by Emay.
